3 Great Learning Sites

Learning Websites

Software and Business

Paul

A lot of people love lynda.com to learn software. I’ve been a big fan for several years. However, another site I love is creativelive.com. Similar to lynda.com, creativelive is more than just learning about software. They have classes that relate to business and education.

The nice thing about creativelive is that if you have time, you can watch the classes for free. Classes can run from a day to multiple days and you can watch them live. If you like what you see, you can buy a digital download of the class. Take a look at their calendar and maybe you’ll find something to try out over the summer.

Wine and The Universe

eric

I love Big Think! It’s the best website to learn about anything. I am always struggling when I have to order wine in a restaurant. Now, thanks to sommelier Patrick Cappiello, I know how to impress everyone around the table!

I also think I almost got what the Universe is thanks to Michio Kaku, so everything is possible!

English

mickael

As a non-native english speaker, one of the things I do online is to learn and practice my english. One of my favorite things to do is to listen to podcasts, it helps me work on my oral and pronunciation skills.

These are my favorite podcasts:

– KCRW’s Left, Right and Center to learn more about America’s politics;
– NPR: TED Radio Hour to listen to inspiring people
The Moth to listen to everyday people’s stories
