What We Do: Our Process
Step 1: Getting Close, Closer, and Closest to Customers
The first step in the Funderstanding process is the gathering of market intelligence through observational research. Observational research is the process of watching people in context -- in their natural environment, doing routine activities. The goal of observational research is to understand the needs that people have that they can't describe in surveys and focus groups - one reason why observational research is an excellent supplement to traditional research. Observational research is not a common mode of research because it is typically expensive, time-consuming and requires experts to administer and analyze data. Our proprietary technology and expertise allows us to perform observational research efficiently and cost effectively.
Step 2: Innovate
Once we've found the opportunities in your market we'll develop concepts to take advantage of them. We'll enhance the research we've done for you with proprietary information on trends and children's behavior, as well as with the insight of our team of kid experts. We'll facilitate brainstorming sessions and create concept sketches.
Step 3: Test, Test and Test
Once we have product concepts that meet your needs, we'll test them on kids. Testing early in the product development cycle lets you improve the product at the point that it is least expensive - before you go to production. We offer you the ability to do virtual testing. In virtual testing, we'll create software proxies for your product that our community of kids can test online. This accelerates the rate at which you get feedback while decreasing the cost of prototypes.
We offer standard and custom pricing depending on your needs. Contact us for more information.
